General Motors Co.’s accusations that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV used secret offshore bank accounts to bribe United Auto Workers officials is baseless and “despicable,” the Italian American automaker’s lawyer said Monday.
In a federal court filing, Fiat Chrysler’s lawyer Steven Holley argues the new allegations are unsubstantiated and do not change the determination that GM’s lawsuit does not meet the requirements for a violation under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.
