The court-appointed monitor overseeing the United Auto Workers is investigating historical acts of misconduct among union officials who have not been charged in a criminal case, Acting U.S. Attorney Saima Mohsin told The Detroit News.
“Mr. Barofksy has been working very hard to get ready for some of the investigation into misconduct by UAW officials,” Mohsin said. “There was a number of officials who have been investigated and charged federally and convicted, but there are others who have potentially engaged in misconduct. Those allegations need to be investigated.”
