Below is a summary of UAWD’s 2022 Annual Meeting on September 18.
Financial Secretary Eric Truss (Local 600) shared a financial report, and Trustees Martha Grevatt (Local 869) and Andrew Bergman (Local 5118) shared a Trustee Report.
Resolutions on amending our bylaws to include Regional and Local Chapters, Regular UAWD General Membership Meetings, Ranked Choice Voting, IEB UAW Candidates and Endorsement, and a UAWD Code of Conduct were passed as part of the Consent Agenda.
A resolution to amend our bylaws to create an Additional Member-at-Large Position on the Steering Committee was passed with an amendment to elect the new Member at Large after the IEB elections have concluded. A resolution to amend our bylaws to include Establishing UAWD Committees was also passed.
The following Steering Committee members were unopposed and elected by acclamation: Scott Houldieson (Local 551) for Chair, Vail Kohnert-Yount (Local 2320) for Recording Secretary, Martha Grevatt (Local 869) for Trustee, and Mike Cannon (Local 282) for Retiree.
Amelia Spooner (Local 2110) was elected our new Member at Large, replacing Cody Zaremba (Local 602) who is stepping down from the Steering Committee.
