From shop floor battery fires to factory shutdowns, this transition is creating a constant state of crisis potentially leading to company-wide bankruptcies, harming workers while investors make billions. It’s time to organize for a worker-led EV transition to protect our jobs, and align production toward safe transportation that centers community needs and addresses climate change.

UAWD is collaborating with the Climate and Community Institute, as well as organizers and activists across the manufacturing supply chain, from communities affected by lithium mining to transit riders, to organize for a safe and just transition away from fossil fuels and toward public transit.
