This afternoon, UAWD delegates supported bringing one of our priority resolutions out of committee for debate: Resolution to Reject Electric Vehicle Tiers.
As the transition toward electric vehicles accelerates, corporations are using it to weaken our union. The proposed resolution says that we must organize to reject the creation of new EV tiers, and bring all new EV plants under the UAW master agreement.
UAWD member Tim Boyd (Local 12) made the point of order to pull the resolution out of committee and onto the floor for debate.

Despite the support of all UAWD delegates, the resolution fell just four delegates short of meeting the threshold to pull the resolution out of committee.
