How to Lead a Successful 10-Minute Meeting for Big 3 Workers

This workshop will prepare you to hold a 10-minute meeting to engage your coworkers in the contract fight.
The Big 3 contracts are expiring on September 14, and critical issues such as ending tiers, COLA, and our jobs are at stake. We need to back up negotiators at the bargaining table by building a strong, informed membership on the shop floor. 10-minute meetings can be used to discuss contract issues, inoculate against the company’s plan to divide us, provide updates, or increase turnout for rallies and pickets.
You have probably noticed that only the most engaged members attend a long meeting held off-site on the weekend. But brief meetings in the workplace will help build more engagement over time and more easily bring in members. Teachers and Teamsters have also had success with holding these short meetings in a big contract year.
