All ballots for the historic UAW referendum vote on One Member, One Vote were due today by 10am ET. The vote count, which is expected to last for at least 3-4 days, began at 7am ET today at a designated election center (2630 Whitney Avenue) in Hamden, CT.

LIVE VOTE RESULTS: UAWD has sent multiple observers to the vote count, and will be posting live results for every UAW region and local every day starting today at uawd.org/referendum-results.

Thank you for your part in organizing to win this vote over the past year. Our campaign to win the Direct Voting System was unique and unprecedented; it spanned every region and sector of the UAW, and engaged thousands of members. Regardless of the outcome, this referendum vote has lit a spark for reform across our union, and for an end to corruption and an end to concessions.

However, our work is just beginning! With the UAW Constitutional Convention coming up in July 2022 and elections for International Executive Board officers—whatever form they take—also coming up in 2022, it’s crucial that we continue to build our movement.
