On December 14, 2022, the UAW Monitor released the official rules for the UAW international officer runoff elections in 2023. After the general election results, UAW Members United candidates Shawn Fain will advance to the runoff election for President and Daniel Vicente will advance to the runoff for Region 9 Director.
Below are important dates for the runoff election:
- January 12, 2023: Begin mailing ballots to members
- January 19, 2023: First official date when members can request replacement ballots from the election administrator
- January 31, 2023: Deadline for members to be in “good standing” in order to have their vote counted in the 2023 runoff
- February 15, 2023: Deadline to request replacement ballots can be requested from the election administrator
- February 17, 2023: Recommended last day for members to mail their ballots for arrival by the February 28 deadline
- February 28, 2023: Deadline for all ballots to be received by the designated U.S. Post Office
- March 1, 2023: Ballot count begins in Dayton, Ohio
